The newest directory on Local Lab, and the first one filled entirely by the kit's own importer. I gave it eight search phrases and a list of US cities, and it came back with more than five thousand locksmiths, each with a website, sorted into seven categories from emergency lockout to safes and smart locks.
The rules did most of the sorting. A locksmith is residential unless its own words say otherwise. Chains are skipped, and so is anything without a website or outside the state it claims to be in. What is left is the independent local firms a directory is actually for.
A locksmith is usually needed in a hurry, so the phone number matters more than anything else on the page. The brand is navy and gold with one urgent red, kept small on purpose. The mark was drawn once as an SVG, and the site made its own favicon, app icons and share image from it.
It is set up to earn the way every Local Lab site does: locksmiths pay per city for the quote requests customers send in for free, and for the featured places at the top of a city.
